hd brows londonIt’s now quite well understood how eyebrows can define your face and affect your appearance.

With fashion swinging firmly away from super-fine brows to more noticeable bigger brows, treatments are available on many high streets as a treatment offering to boost thin brows.

Two of the big names are HD Brows and microblading. So what’s the difference between the two?

HD Brows

HD Brows is a comprehensive 7-step programme for shaping and grooming the eyebrows. It is a personalised treatment to suit the individual, taking into account the current state of the brows as well as the client’s desires for a finished look.

The emphasis is very much on making the most of natural brows and creating a shape which suits and enhances the overall face structure. For eyebrows that have been neglected, a smooth and groomed shape can transform the whole face, leaving clients feeling and looking more groomed, glamorous and even younger.

Some clients may be concerned that they do not have enough hair to get the full HD Brows effect. However, the HD Brows system also includes a regrowth programme which includes a daily serum to stimulate brow growth. This means that results can be achieved far more rapidly, with appointments recommended every 4-6 weeks to check on the growth and shape the brows, adjusting the 7 step programme at each stage.

HD Brows 7 Steps

  • Step One – Consultation and Analysis
  • Step Two – Tinting
  • Step Three – Waxing
  • Step Four – Threading
  • Step Five – Tweezing
  • Step Six – Trimming
  • Step Seven – Aftercare and Finish

Microblading is a different approach to eyebrows. It is fundamentally a semi-permanent makeup technique (i.e. a form of non-permanent tattooing).

The artist uses a fine needle hand-held tool to create delicate hair-like strokes to boost and define the natural brows.

It is suitable for those with over-plucked brows who can’t get natural hair growth or can’t wait for the longer-term results.

The results of microblading in terms of the inking last for a few months. Technicians generally recommend a 6-monthly top-up of treatment. Eyebrows will still need regular grooming too, to check for hair growth out of the desired brow shape.

Clients preferring a groomed but natural look tend to be drawn more to HD Brows as it uses their own natural brow hair.
